President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev keeps accusing Kazakhstan officials of excessive bureaucracy, Tengrinews.kz reports. “How can we talk about quality of services, e.g. in education, if a teacher spends third of his time making reports? The same situation is with doctors. From the reports that I have received, a single regional department of the Education Ministry fills in 300 report forms! 300 report forms to prepare schools and kindergartens in one Oblast only. They spend 1.5-2 months making these reports. When can they do their real work? Tons of reports! Sort it out finally,” Kazakhstan President said at the meeting with Akims (Mayors and Governors) of Kazakhstan. “Let doctors treat people and teachers teach, rather than making papers. There can be important cases when they have to report, but not so many. There should be ten times less of them (reports), I am sure. I have instructed to prepare a draft law on state service. This instruction has not been fulfilled yet. The Presidential Administration and the Government have to work together to submit this draft law,” the President instructed. By Renat Tashkinbayev
